[...] 10一CES 最后一天：体验 Pixel Qi 双模式显示屏 Yuqing Xia 于 2011-1-10,07:51 Comments (0) 归类于：Tablet & eBook & Netbook, 业界趋势标签： 3Qi, CES, CES2011, Pixel Qi, 屏幕.今天我在 CES 现场体验了 Pixel Qi 的双模式显示屏，该公司的传奇创始人 Mary Lou Jepsen 也在现场（上图最中间那位），她的故事很值得一读。Pixel Qi 现场展出了瑞萨电子（Renesas）、viliv、Shuttle、Genesi 等公司的十几款上网本、平板、显示器样机。很受瞩目的 Notion Ink 也带着样机来了现场，但只展示了十分钟就匆匆离去，我没能碰上。Notion Ink 很神秘，没怎么和媒体接触，只进行合作洽谈。Notion Ink Adam 去年年底进行了一次预售，Pixel Qi 版在一小时内售罄。先说一下 Pixel Qi 的读法：Pixel“气”，这是一个中英结合的名字，在场的美国人基本都把它读作 Pixel，因为发不出 Qi 的音。Pixel Qi 通过改良 LCD 显示技术，实现了与电子纸类似的效果，并且可以在耗电、怕光的全彩和省电、不怕光的黑白模式下进行切换。Pixel Qi 展位的灯光很强，在彩色模式下，屏幕受光线影响很大，基本无法阅读。切换到黑白模式以后，则与边上采用 E Ink 屏的 Kindle 相差无几，但灰度级更高。相对来说，Pixel Qi 的反光比 E Ink 略重一点，但除非进行一对一的比较，否则这些差异基本可以忽略。黑白模式下屏幕的背光基本关闭，靠反射外界光保证阅读，起到了省电的效果。Pixel Qi 的官方数字是黑白模式下可以节省 80% 的功耗。相对 E Ink 来说，Pixle Qi 最大的优势是动态效果不受影响，不论是彩色模式还是黑白模式，都一样流畅：就我个人来说，如果一款平板有普通屏和 Pixel Qi 两种屏幕可选的话，我一定会选后者。Pixel Qi 在过去一年里有不少收获，不但作为“拥有巨大商业前景的新兴技术”获得 IEEE 颁发的 ACE Award，还和全球第二大面板厂商台湾中华映管（CPT）达成合作，将于今年二季度开始大批量生产 1024×600 的 7 英寸显示屏，去年年底已经开始出样。此前只有 10 英寸屏幕投产。工作原理参考之前的文章内容：创造色彩每个像素的工作方式和普通 LCD 很像：背光[A]穿过一层液晶体[B]。液晶体被电击中后改变方向以控制光线的通过量。穿过液晶体的光线再穿过红、绿、蓝三色滤镜[C]，光线混合后为屏幕着色。活跃的黑与白关闭极为耗能的背光以后，像素转为反射光线而不是产生光线。环境光[D]，不论是来自灯泡还是来自太阳都会射入屏幕，击中镜面上覆盖的像素点[E]。反射回来的光线穿过液晶体，液晶体改变了穿过自身光线的亮度，原理和彩色模式相同。但光线最后不会通过彩色滤镜，而是直接射出屏幕，因此你会看到由 256 色灰阶组成的黑白图像。 [...]
