Director of Licensing


Reports to VP Sales and Marketing.

Oversees development of policies, procedures and objectives for
licensing the company's IP, and selling rights to Pixel Qi's IP,
and for Pixel Qi to license the IP of others, and to identify potential
partners with attractive IP. Participates directly in sales / licensing
discussions and negotiations with senior clients, and supports the
global sales and marketing team. Responsible for liaison with outside consultants and specialists on licensing policy, and with Pixel Qi attorneys specializing in IP licensing, etc.

Job requires a 4 year degree and 8 or more years of relevant experience or equivalent in high-technology licensing (display-related technology experience not essential). Asian language proficiency a strong plus.

Some travel to Asia; to be based in SF Bay Area.

 


 

Regional Sales Director (Taiwan)

Reports to VP Sales and Marketing.

Plans, organizes, implements sales programs for the region. Plans and is responsible for achieving sales objectives in the region. Will also train, develop, and mentor inside sales representatives or applications engineers for the region. Manages regional budgets, forecasts, and reports. Handles key accounts, in cooperation with sales and marketing and with applications engineering teams.

Must have proven, successful experience in selling, and in contract negotiations at senior levels with major Asian (Taiwanese, PRC, Korean, Japanese) firms, preferably with computer brands and ODMs.

Must have appropriate language, communications skills (English and Chinese / Mandarin are required, other Asian languages are beneficial).

Extensive travel within Asia and to the USA; to be based in Taiwan.

Job requires a 4 year degree, and 5 - 10 years relevant experience in the display or computer ODM industry, or equivalent.

 

 


 

Senior Product Engineer

Reports to VP of Engineering

Responsibilities include

(1) Work closely with customers and internal sales director to define new screens for customers products.

(2) Responsible for technical side of product delivery -  leading Pixel Qi engineering, LCD manufacturing partners and end brand customers to assure on-time product delivery. Plans, organizes, implements engineering efforts.

(3) Must have proven successful experience in delivering product across multi-company development effort in Asia/USA, preferably with computer brands and ODMs.

(4) Responsible for Product Documentation

(5) Pixel Qi technical representative that sees product into first 3-6 months of mass production including promptly addressing any and all Pixel Qi related or product related issues which arise.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

(1) at least 5 years in display industry
(2) Masters level in EE, Optics, LC, Physics or similar
(3) Excellent communication skills
(4) Creativity/inventiveness coupled with ability to deliver working prototypes and products
(5) Ability to travel (<50%)
(6) Desired: Chinese language skills
(7) Desired: Experience with transflective LCD, polarization independent liquid crystal modes and integrated multi-touch

Senior Optics/Liquid Crystal Engineer

Reports to VP of Engineering

Responsibilities:


(1) Works with product engineer to invent & implement and new display product concepts
 

(2) Directs simulation, prototyping and characterization of novel display products through development
 

(3)Responsible for collecting and staying current with capability roadmaps of TFT LCD manufacturers, as well as TFT LCD industry suppliers

(4) In collaboration with manufacturers - designs and executes quality and reliability assurance metrics and approvals

(5) Responsible for documentation of  intellectual property, methods and procedures.

(6)Must have proven successful experience in delivering product across multi-company development effort in Asia/USA, preferably with computer brands and ODMs.


Skills and Experience Required:


(1) at least 5 years in display industry
(2) PhD level in EE, Optics, LC, Physics or similar
(3) Excellent communication skills
(4) Creativity/inventiveness coupled with ability to deliver working prototypes and products.

Director of Electronics Engineering

Reports to VP of Engineering

Responsibilities:


(1) Works with product engineer to invent & implement and new display drivers and backplanes

(2) Directs simulation, prototyping and characterization of novel display drivers and backplanes through development, often in close collaboration with manufacturer.

(3) Responsible for collecting and staying current with capability
roadmaps of TFT Manufacturers, Drivers IC companies, and the PCB and motherboard ecosystems.

(4) In collaboration with manufacturers - designs and executes quality and reliability assurance metrics and approvals.

(5) Responsible for documentation of  intellectual property, methods and procedures.

(6) Must have proven successful experience in delivering product across multi-company development effort in Asia/USA, preferably with computer brands and ODMs.


Skills and Experience Required:

 

(1) 5 years in display industry
(2) PhD level in EE, Physics or similar
(3) Excellent communication skills
(4) Creativity/inventiveness coupled with ability to deliver working prototypes and products.
(5) Experience with LCD backplane design.
